POST REVIEW OF "SPIRITUAL HOME" SOLO EXHIBITION
11th December - 2023
As per my previous post, you've got the background of most of my key paintings that went into my first Solo Exhibition in Townsville at Murky Waters Studio. But what you might not realise is that during this 3 year journey, our family life was turned up-side-down and we made some major life changes. I wrote my previous blog about this exhibition in 2021 - and I am only just showing it now in 2023. But, better late than never.
This didn't however impact on my going ahead with this exhibition, but moreso added in a fresh variety of paintings into the collection. Moving to the Whitsundays was something that was necessary for our family, and one of the best things we ever did. Below, I will include some of the new paintings and a tour of of the exhibition. I believe it was a huge success and I am keen to start working on my next exhibition soon.
NEW PAINTINGS
"SNORKELING IN HORSESHOE BAY"

Depicts the life you can find just having a snorkel in Horseshoe Bay. There are so many corals, fishes and life in there. I wanted to show this little snapshot of what can be enjoyed down in Bowen.
"YIN & YANG"
Oils on Canvas 2023
Depicts the Blue Spotted ribbon tail rays that can be seen also in Horseshoe Bay, but also any of the bays in Bowen's beautiful beaches.
"HEADLAND OF KINGS BEACH"

This painting depicts the rocks on the headland where I take my dogs swimming.

This painting shows one of the Green Sea Turtles that inhabit Heron Island, which is still a place that is very special to us.

This painting depicts the Batfish that are often hand fed and so super friendly in Florence Bay, Magnetic Island.
